About

A job board that checks the registers first

Moving countries for an AI job usually means finding an employer that can sponsor a visa. AI Expat Jobs does the first check for you: every employer listed appears on an official sponsor register.

Method

How it works

  1. 01We read the registersThe UK Home Office publishes its register of licensed sponsors every working day; the Dutch IND updates its public register of recognised sponsors monthly. We keep every copy.
  2. 02We read employers' own job boardsPublic job feeds from Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio and Amazon, for hundreds of AI-active employers.
  3. 03We keep AI roles in the UK and NLMachine learning and AI engineering, forward-deployed engineering, AI research and data science, located in the UK or the Netherlands.
  4. 04We match each employer to a registerBy legal entity name, for example Faculty → Faculty Science Limited. Doubtful matches are reviewed by hand; unmatched employers are left out.
  5. 05We link to the sourceYou apply on the employer's own site. We show the title, place and register status, and never copy job descriptions.

What a register tells you

In the UK, an employer on the register holds a sponsor licence and can assign certificates of sponsorship. In the Netherlands, a recognised sponsor can apply for highly skilled migrant permits through the faster IND route.

Neither means a specific role is open to sponsorship, or that you will qualify: salary thresholds, skill levels and the employer's own policy all apply.

Who

Who runs it

AI Expat Jobs is run independently by an AI engineer who is making the same move. It started as a script to answer one question: which AI teams in the UK and the Netherlands can actually hire from abroad?
